Terms of service

These terms govern use of DTDT. By creating a workspace, accepting an invitation or opening a job tracker link, you agree to them.

Version 1.0 · In effect from 16 August 2026

1. The service

DTDT lets a service business record what was agreed with a customer, prove what was done with photos and video, and capture the customer's approval. Features change as the product develops; we will not remove something central without telling workspace owners.

2. Accounts

  • Workspaces are created by invitation. You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the access you grant your team.
  • You must be 16 or over to hold an account.

3. Your responsibilities as a business

If you use DTDT to record work for your own customers, you are the data controller for their information. That means you must:

  • Have a lawful basis for recording your customers' details and the proof you capture, and tell them how you use it.
  • Only capture what the work needs — no more people, property or detail than necessary.
  • Respond to your customers' data protection requests within one month.
  • Keep tracker links to the customer they belong to.
  • Register with the ICO where the law requires it for your own business.

Our data processing terms set out what we do as your processor and form part of this agreement.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading content.
  • Do not record people covertly, or in places where they would reasonably expect privacy.
  • Do not attempt to access another workspace's data, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or interfere with its operation.
  • Do not resell or white-label the service without written agreement.

We may suspend a workspace that breaches these rules, and will explain why where we lawfully can.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process and display it in order to run the service for you. We do not use your job content for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.

6. Availability

We work to keep DTDT available but do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and factors outside our control can cause downtime. Where practical we give notice of planned work.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using DTDT at any time and delete your workspace data from Settings. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the service, and will give you an opportunity to export your data first.

8. Liability

DTDT is a record-keeping tool. It does not verify the quality of the work carried out, and a dispute about workmanship is between the business and its customer. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, and loss arising from your failure to meet your own obligations as a controller. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified to workspace owners by email and take effect 30 days later, or immediately where a change is required by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

These are the operator's own terms, provided for transparency. They are not legal advice.
